The idea of The Summer Stitch grew from our love for art and the wish to create something of our own — and, honestly, as an escape from the routine of corporate life.

When COVID kept us indoors, we started brainstorming small business ideas. One day, I came across a stitched canvas on Pinterest and decided to try it. My first attempt was embroidery on paper — it turned out surprisingly pretty! I immediately ordered four canvases as trials to see how people would respond.

I had never done embroidery before, but the moment I started, it felt natural. At first, I worked on it before and after office hours, but now I’m lucky to have two full-time team members by my side.
